A Belle Bourg turn me Chionophile
Many people fantasy to look at Italy for Capital Rome, Venice the city of love, Art of Florence, and many more. I can see you already started to imagine those marvelous cities but hold your wanderlust; cause we are processing towards 280kms northern from beautiful Milano … ‘San Valentino Alla Muta’ or ‘Saint Valentin Auf der Haide’. St. Valentino is a spectacular Bourg (a village) in South Tyrol in the parish of Graun im Vinschgau, it lies at a height of 1472 meters.
It is
obvious that this place is a perfect paradise for active sightseers. The beauty
of this place cannot be captured in cameras or even our eyesight will get
overwhelmed by the belle of San Valentino. When I traveled this place in cold,
windy; rays of sunlight during December; all-mountain peak covered with white
snow it was around -12 degrees & my host mother told us to go out end
explore; on the other hand, I was a teenager, thought how can I walk outside in
so cold; even though I wanted to see the world.. moreover, I will always be
grateful to host parents that they gave me a vision to Travel & on that day
I went to explore the village. Even on today’s date, I remember those words
from my host parents; Egon (my host father) told us in German: Gehen Sie
spazieren! Und gehen im die Bar, trinken Sie Bier wie ein Teenager & Bibo
(my host mother) said: Bitte machen viele
Bilder in den Straßen von San Valentino. There where I fall in love with
St. Valentino likewise, I turn Chionophile.
This Bella Bourg will fantasize you in many ways; here I’m mentioning a few things which made me go fond of it.
Admirable
places San Valentino Alla Muta:
1. Haider Alm Cabinovia
The
sun-drenched Schöneben-Haideralm ski area is located out on the Reschen Pass
above the mountains. This place is perfect for ski lovers, snowboarding, ice

place also has a ski school where you can develop your skills of skiing. While

2. Reschensee
Reschensee is a magnificent lake situated between the mountains of San Valentino at 1,498 m above sea level in the municipality of Curon Venosta in South Tyrol, north of the nearby Lake San Valentino Alla Muta. In the middle of the Lake, there is a Medieval church bell tower rising from a lake, the surviving remains of a reservoir-flooded village. Other than that, this lake is famous for its numerous water sports enthusiast activities.

travelers can experience real European dishes.
2. Pizzeria Lample
Italy is
the land of pizza, & your Travel will be incomplete if you won’t have it.
Pizzeria Lampl serves delicious pizza baked in a wooden oven which gives
mouthwatering tangy flavors to it. Lampl knows how to use three ingredients
skillfully; Fresh Tomatoes, Mozzarella & Oregano which gives pizza extra
touch of Italy. And even if you travel to Italy, you should have the village’s
original pizza, never forget that.
3. Greinhof
Between

eatables which are freshly prepared with Italian neighborhood ingredients. The
combining smell of Italian food, wood oven & Fine Wine makes this place
more beautiful. Do not forget to mention this place in your Itinerary.

Bakery
Angerer’s every bread is made with freshly ground Grains. Which proceed
wholesome bread & baked in a wood fire oven. To have the perfect loaf of

5. Enzo
This
village will surprise you in many ways; no one could ever imagine if a Bourg

way. During the evening this place is full of party lovers & energetic
youngsters. 16 & above can also visit this place; Boys or Girls just make
sure not to have anything from strangers.
6. Roby Keller
Roby Keller
is a bar where you can have your drinks & snacks. I personally like this
place because of its unique design. Roby Keller’s bar looks quite sporty with
all the stuff in this bar like Snowboard chairs, Pool Table & Mini Tabletop
Football. It’s quite happening & joyful place.
7. Café Franco
Café Franco Pub & Bar where you can have your supper or Perfect Hi-Tea during evenings. If you want to have a European supper then have caffeine & cakes. This place used to be busy during the evening & they close the café by 1700 hrs, therefore try to visit it early. The café stays closed on Thursdays, other than that you can enjoy your evening here.
Food
& Beverages once must try:
1. Pizzeria
Pizza; of
course, everyone’s favorite. One can only satisfy the craving for Pizza by
having it. Pizza is the origin of Italy & ancestors of this village bakes
it in a traditional way with wood fire oven. Try Four Cheese Pizza with Chilly
Oil which is served by Pizzeria; one of my favorite dishes. Light Italian music
& the smell of freshly baked pizza direct from a wood fire oven will only
increase your hunger.
2. Latte
Latte means
MILK IN ITALIAN. It is an Italian ritual to have caffeine with Bread loaf in
Breakfast, & Latte is a popular hot drink of Italy that consists of layers of
warm milk, espresso coffee & milk froth. Must try!
3. Spaghetti Aglio e olio (garlic and oil)
Spaghetti Aglio e olio is another traditional Italian Pasta dish from Naples but you can have it at any restro in Italy. Spaghetti Aglio e olio is cooked with the finest ingredients like garlic, olive oil, parsley & Parmigiano Reggiano cheese (Parmesan) & with some special Italian ingredients. Every food in Italy will make you go mouth-watering.
4. Snuper Drink
The
traditional drink of St. Valentino the Snuper Drink, you can have it with or
without alcohol. This drink is not found in other cities of Italy or in any
other countries of Europe as it is a specialty in this village. The shade of
this drink is the same as apple juice & it tastes kind of sweet plus
sparkling taste. Give it a shot.
5. Hot Chocolate
Winter
without Hot Chocolate is not possible. Italian Hot Chocolate is a mug full of
creamy deliciously thick Hot chocolate made with real chocolate & milk. Every
café in Italy serves thick & rich Italian Hot Chocolate. It will make you
feel pure paradise.
6. Gelato
Last but not least; Gelato is a frozen dessert in Italy. Just like Pizza Neapolitans credited Gelato which is best known as handmade Ice-cream. Italian serves it in different ways – Bombolone or Brioche Sandwich, wafer or, have it alone; you can have it according to your taste.
Conclusion
Some time exploring village is fun because most of the culture of Countries lays there. Of course Rome, Venice, Florence is beautiful places but St. Valentino is no less. I hope after reading this blog you will add this BELLE BOURG to your travel wish list. Till next time Happy Travel Hodophilia…
